Sara began her internship with Riverland in June 2007 through a grant sponsored by the Pohlad Family Foundation.  As a qualifying high school student, Sara has been able to receive hands-on training working as a teller while experiencing interaction with the banking staff and customers.  “I am very grateful for the opportunity to work at Riverland and enjoy coming to work everyday.  The staff are amazing and always make me feel welcome and at home”. 

Sara was born and raised in Jordan and is a high school senior at Jordan High School.  Although anxious for graduation, she has many fond memories of her school years, in particular, being a proud member of the outstanding Jordan Volleyball and Softball teams.  She resides in the country on a dairy farm with her parents, Marv and Cathy Kes, and two brothers, Bryan and Jon.  Her older sister and her husband are expecting twin girls making Sara an Aunt for the first time. 

Always being active in sports, Sara enjoys keeping herself busy and loves to spend time with her friends and family.  She is looking forward to entering college this fall.
